Résumé: In recent years, more attention had paid to the passive mechanical damper named tuned liquid damper (TLD) and many TLD systems have been successfully employed in practice to mitigate undesirable structural vibrations.The traditional TLD system with flat shape bottom has been thooughly investigated, it present some disadvantages which led to less performance on vibration reduction.In this study, based on the disadvantages of the traditional TLD like the wave breaking phenomena and beating phenomena a new kind of TLD named Mass-Variable Tuned Liquid Damper (MVTLD)is applied to overcome the traditional TLD inconveniences
