Chaotic behaviour in the Carotid-Kundalini map function

Article Ecrit par: Cooper, Gordon R. J. ;

Résumé: Bifurcations and chaotic behaviour, via the period doubling route, are shown for the Carotid}Kundalini map function. This function is particularly interesting since it is not simply unimodal in the range [!121]. Calculations of the Feigenbaum constants a and d are made which do not di!er greatly from the established values. The exponential divergence of nearby trajectories is used to demonstrate the existence of chaotic behaviour.
