Résumé: This tutorial presents a simple pattern-forming model similar to those traditionally used to represent reac- tion}di!usion systems. Models such as these are usually implemented with toroidal periodic boundary conditions, but other kinds of periodic boundary conditions exist and can be applied to these models. The patterns that result are visually appealing and can serve as the basis for decorative motifs.
