ملخص: Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) rely on the cooperation of all participating nodes to provide the fundamental operations such as routing and data forwarding. However, misbehaving nodes may not follow the cooperation paradigm and cause a serious affect on network performance. Nodes misbehave because they are malicious, selfish or malfunctioning. In this paper, we present a simulation study of the effects of misbehaving nodes on DSR routing protocol performances and discuss some countermeasures to mitigate misbehaving node effects.
