Résumé: The chemical composition of the volatile oil extracted by hydrodistillation from the needles of Pinus halepensis Miller, grown in natural habitats in Sidi Feradj (Algiers region), was obtained with yield 0.52% and analysed by GC and GC-MS. More than 41 compounds, representing 67.02% of total oil, were identified. The oil was found to be rich in [beta]-caryophyllene (40.31%), [alpha]-humulene (7.92%) and aromadendrene (7.1%).
