Revision palynostratigraphique du devonien terminal-carbonifere inferieur dans le Grand Erg occidental (bassin de Bechar) Sahara Algerien

Article Ecrit par: Coquel, Robert ; Abdesselam-Rouighi, Farida ;

Résumé: The palynological study of the uppermost Devonian-Lower Carboniferous in the Western Great Erg (Bechar basin) has allowed us to precise any results established by Lanzoni and Magloire (1969). Some taxa of biostratigraphical interest none mentioned by Lanzoni and Magloire have been identified. Quoted : Rugospora flexuosa (Jushko) Streel, Lophozonotriletes cristifer (Luber) Kedo, Vallatisporites vallatus Hacquebard, Schopfipollenites ellipsoides (Ibrahim) Potonie and Kremp and Lycospora pusilla (Ibrahim) Schopf, Wilson and Bentall. This last one has been observed in the uppermost Visean, it is very rare.The Devonian and its relations with the Carboniferous are complex one of the main difficulties consist in the datation of the uppermost Devonian-lowermost Carboniferous argilites. The gap at the boundary Devonian-Carboniferous is more or less important. A discontinuity is also present at the boundary Tournaisian-Visean. Lower Visean is absent in the Goumriats. The M4 Biozone dated Lower Visean (Lanzoni and Magloire, 1969) in the Goumriats must be revised, its age and composition are precised.
