Résumé: Demonstration programs have a long and storied history in the .eld of computer science education. This is particularly true in the area of computer graphics where the displays are often worth more than the proverbial ‘‘thousand words ’’. A suite of such programs was presented at the SIGGRAPHconference in Los Angeles during the summer of 2001. This paper reviews that suite, and discusses its further development. It also discusses the pedagogical role of such programs within the .eld of computer graphics education, including contributions of some analogous suites currently available.
