Résumé: In this paper, a new approach based on Simulated Annealing is used to solve the mobile location management problem that employs the location area scheme is proposed. Furthermore, the approach integrates the location areas scheme into the Simulated Annealing algorithm to .nd optimal con.gurations. The proposed approach is used to .nd the best con.gurations for a range of test-networks. The results provide new insight into the mobility management problem.
