Structure and properties of styrene-divinylbenzene-methylmethacrylate terpolymers--I. effect of methylmethacrylate as third comonomer

ملخص: A series of macroporous terpolymer beads were synthesized by suspension polymerization of styrene-divinylbenzene and variable content of methylmethacrylate. A DVB content of 20 wt% and a mixture of 80/20 vol% n-heptane/2-ethyl-1-hexanol as diluent were used throughout this study. The influence of methylmethacrylate on mean droplet diameter and porous structure and swelling in toluene and cyclohexane was investigated. The porosity of the terpolymers increases with increasing MMA concentration.
