Chronic generalized dermatophytosis

مقال من تأليف: Boudghene-Stambouli, O. ; Meradboudia, A. ;

ملخص: Since its description in 1959, the chronic generalized dermatophytosis (CGD) is particularly seen in Maghreb. This dermatophytosis is chronic, extensive with a tendency to involve the whole skin surface, deep involving the dermis and subcutaneous tissues and systemic, involving the lymph nodes and the viscera.On revealing the reported cases and our personal observations CGD is very closely linked to the failure of the defense systems against dermatophytes: the consanguinity often observed and the existence of siblings or of families with extensive chronic dermatophytosis suggests that there may be deficiency of cellular immunity transmitted as an autosomal recessive, though some authors consider that humoral factors are more important. This disorder affects males, starts in childhood, before the age of 16 years in the majority of cases. Ringworm is often observes as an early sign
